Illinois Early Learning Project (2020-current)


As a content creator at IEL, I disseminate research-based information about early learning to a wide audience of families and early childhood educators.




DEC Personnel Preparation Committee (2015 - 2022)


As a committee member of the PPC, I work on initiatives associated with pre-service and in-service EI/ECSE teacher education.




UWRF Planning Committee for Creating the First Ed.D. in Montessori Studies (2017-2021)


Working together, my colleagues and I developed and launched the first Montessori doctoral program in the world.




CEC Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education Standards Development Task Force (2018-2020)


My service to the field includes supporting the creation of the first formal standards to focus on EI/ECSE teacher preparation.




Early Childhood Non-Traditional Students in Teacher Education (2016-2019)


I supported non-traditional working teachers to achieve their BA in Early Childhood through coursework, fieldwork, and advising.




AMS Montessori Inclusion Endorsement (2016-2018)


I supported AMS in developing a professional development endorsement, helping Montessori teachers to better include children with disabilities and delays in their classrooms.




CASA Strong Beginnings (2012-2015)


After learning from the curriculum I created with Catherine Corr, CASA volunteers were better able to serve foster children who have, and are at risk of, disabilities and/or developmental delays.




AMS Archives Committee (2007-2021)


Supported AMS in maintaining the history of Montessori in the U.S. and growing the archives.
